Solidarity Veg Boxes

Solidarity Veg Boxes provides locally grown veg for people who would otherwise find it hard to access

The project was successfully trialed in the Autumn of 2020. Organised by Planna Fwyd! and Mach Solidarity Fund, the project was run entirely by passionate volunteers. All of the vegetables and fruit were generously donated by local growers and our community grocer, Siop Blodyn Tatws.

This year, we are aiming to provide 15 boxes with a variety of freshly grown vegetables in each, every week from June until November. We are asking local farmers and growers who have spare space and can grow a bit extra to grow crops for the Solidarity Veg Boxes. Once the growing season begins, we’ll be asking farmers and growers if they can donate their surplus produce to the Boxes. And we will continue to be run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers!

If you would like to volunteer for this project, help us deliver boxes, or offer your skills as a farmer to either grow or donate surplus vegetables, we would love to hear from you!
